GARDEN PLAIN – At its meeting last week, the Garden Plain City Council voted to purchase two radar speed signs. The signs will give real-time feedback on speed of travel, encouraging drivers to follow the speed limit.

ARGONIA – The community of Argonia has been chosen as one of two cities to participate in a new state program to help Kansas cities grow and attract visitors. Argonia and Colby are the first cities to be part of the Kansas Spaces to Places program, a community development placemaking program.

GODDARD – A Casey’s General Store appears to be in the works for the city of Goddard. The Goddard City Council approved an ordinance at its meeting Monday that will annex a tract of land located east of 183rd Street West and south of US-54 Highway.
