Exchange students experience Kansas life

TSnews Last fall, recent Argonia High School graduate Max Siegmann arrived at Eisenhower National Airport to start his year as a foreign exchange student. The Hamburg, Germany, native found that he needed a few minutes to collect himself before going out to meet his new host family.

Pride, PD conduct child seat checks

Sumner Co. students receive

Two Sumner County high school students have received $1,000 scholarships from Wheatland Electric Cooperative. Faith Stuhlsatz, a senior at Conway Springs High School, and Wesley Weishaar, a senior at Argonia High School, were each awarded a scholarship on April 26 at WEC’s annual meeting and 75th-anniversary celebration in Scott City.

Summer reading block party is Saturday

CHENEY – The annual summer reading program kick-off block part at the Cheney Public Library will take place on Saturday. The event will include a carnival, as well as plenty of food and drink.

City turns down Goddard Galleria cost-share request

TSnews GODDARD – At its meeting Monday evening, the Goddard City Council voted to deny Goddard Galleria developer Dwayne Dugan's request that the city pay half of the cost of some road improvements in the commercial development. The vote to deny was 4-0.
