ARGONIA – Argonia High School will host fall homecoming on Friday night, as the Argonia-Attica Titans football team plays host to the Cedar Vale-Dexter Spartans. This year’s king candidates are seniors Lincoln Warner, Joshua Gregg and Silas Boetcher.

Cheney Cardinals corral Holcomb Longhorns

The Cheney Cardinals won their 14th straight game with a 38-7 home victory over the Holcomb Longhorns last Friday. The Cardinals strung together 13 wins in 2023 for a perfect season and the Class 3A State champion, the school’s first-ever football title.

Indians defuse the Rockets for home win

The Clearwater Indians dominated the visiting Rose Hill Rockets to open the season on Friday night, winning 35-14. It was a good start for the Indians, who managed just two victories in 2023.

The Goddard Lions hosted the Campus Colts boys soccer team on Thursday, Sept. 5, coming away with a 2-1 victory after a close-fought battle.

Eisenhower boys take third at JK Gold

The Campus Colts and Eisenhower Tigers opened the 2024 cross country season at Wichita State’s JK Gold Classic, at Clapp Park in Wichita. The Eisenhower boys had the best overall finishing, taking third out of 17 teams.

Runners start season at Clearwater meet

The cross country season got underway last Thursday at the Clearwater Participation meet. The meet allows unlimited entries, giving schools a chance to put many runners into a competitive situation to start the season.
