TSnews The Cheney Cardinals girls golf team made the most of playing in its first 18-hole tournament of the season last Thursday as the Cardinals won the Kingman Invitational. Despite playing in record high temperatures and gusty winds, the Cardinals won the tournament with a score of 420, outdistancing their opponents by 27 strokes.

Volleyball

TSnews The Goddard Lions celebrated returning to the volleyball court after an 11-day layoff in the best way imaginable – by winning a tournament. The Lions won all five of their matches last Saturday at the Southeast Volleyball Invitational at Wichita Southeast High School to capture the tournament title and improve to 9-10 on the season.

Titans top Spartans for homecoming victory

TSnews The Argonia-Attica Titans delivered a good allaround performance last Friday, with a 48-24 win over the Cedar Vale-Dexter Spartans on homecoming night in Argonia. Carson Vineyard and Andrew Bennett each scored two first-half touchdowns to help the Titans to a 28-14 halftime lead.

TSnews With four touchdowns and 30 points in the first half, the Conway Springs Cardinals cruised to a 42-0 football victory over the visiting Bulldogs on homecoming night. Four different players scored touchdowns, with Isaac Winter scoring three of them.

Tigers hang on against stubborn Lions
