TSnews The summer collegiate baseball season is in full swing in south-central Kansas as the Hayville Aviators of the Jayhawk Collegiate League and the Clearwater-based Kansas Curve of Kansas Collegiate League Baseball have taken to the field this spring. TSnews A trio of gold medals plus two runner-up performances led the Clearwater Indians girls track and field team to its third straight top-3 finish at the Class 4A State meet. The Indians finished third with 51 points this year.

TSnews The Cheney Cardinals track and field teams had another good showing at the Class 3A State track and field meet, held last Friday and Saturday at Cessna Stadium. The girls placed seventh with 35 points, coming in 16 points behind champion Smoky Valley.

TSnews Both of the Conway Springs Cardinals’ State track and field qualifiers earned medals during their trip to the State meet in Wichita last week. Delaney Jones, a freshman, had a great State debut as she placed second in the Class 2A long jump.

TSnews Argonia high jumper Lakelyn Love earned her second high jump medal on Friday at the State track and field meet at Wichita State University. Love, a junior, tied for sixth place in Class 1A.
