Aquinas rallies past Tigers in 10 innings

Body TSnews WICHITA – The Eisenhower Tigers baseball team struck first, but it was St. Thomas Aquinas who struck last and best as the Saints downed Eisenhower 4-3 in 10 innings last Thursday in the quarterfinal round of the Class 5A State tournament at Eck Stadium.

Cardinals ‘find a way’ to 3A State

Body TSnews Before each season, the members of the Cheney Cardinals softball team choose a theme or saying to define their season. This season, that motto is “find a way” – and that is exactly what the Cardinals did last Tuesday in the Class 3A Haven regional.

Colts win first regional title since 2017

Body TSnews For the first time since 2017, the Campus Colts softball team is headed to the Class 6A State tournament. The Colts swept through the Class 6A Haysville regional last Tuesday, downing Wichita South 15-0 in the semifinals before downing Topeka 6-3 in the championship game.

Body TSnews The Eisenhower Tigers girls soccer team ended their season May 16, falling at Andover 2-0 in a regional final. “It was a coin toss game going in,” Tigers head coach Roger Downing said.

Body Goddard soccer coach to depart TSnews The Goddard Lions girls soccer team traveled to Hays for the first round of regional play May 14, losing a white-knuckle game 3-2 in the third overtime. “It was a great game to be a part of; fun to watch,” Lions head coach Josh Hansen said.
