Body CHENEY – There is still time to sign up for the seventh annual Cheney High School Band golf tournament. This year, the band department is raising money to purchase new drumline equipment.

Body TSnews The Cheney Cardinals baseball team ran its winning streak to six games Monday as it swept a pair of games from El Dorado, 9-1 and 7-1, respectively. Last Thursday’s games against Wichita Trinity were rained out.

Body TSnews The Clearwater Indians softball team’s winning streak hit seven games Monday afternoon after it swept a doubleheader at home against the Rose Hill Rockets. The Indians took the opener 6-5 and the nightcap 17-8.

GHS boys win East Relays

Body TSnews The Goddard Lions boys track and field team edged out the host Wichita East Blue Aces at the East Relays, held in Wichita on April 23. The two teams finished well ahead of the rest of the field, which included many of the Greater Wichita Athletic League teams.
