After a break of more than a week, the Campus Colts swimmers returned to action on Jan. 18.

The Campus girls bowlers turned in a team score of 2307 to beat Derby (2185) and Maize (1660) on Jan. 16 at Bowlero Northridge.

TSnews The Cheney Cardinals and the Andale Indians played two epic games in football during the 2023 season, but it can be argued that their basketball rivalry is even better. The teams faced off in Halstead on Saturday in the Adolph Rupp Invitational championship.

TSnews The Argonia Raiders boys basketball team had a 12-point lead at one point in last Saturday’s seventh-place game against against Caldwell at the South Central Border League Tournament, but could not hold on to it as the Raiders fell 51-40 to the Blue Jays. “We didn’t play well last Saturday,” Argonia coach Jake Callaway said.

TSnews The Rose Hill Rockets came from behind to beat the Garden Plain Owls 44-43 in the sixth-place game of the Adolph Rupp Invitational in Halstead last Saturday. The Owls, coming off of a win over Halstead in the consolation semifinals, almost picked up a second win.

TSnews The Campus Colts picked up their sole victory at last week’s Tournament of Champions in Dodge City by beating the Eisenhower Tigers 81-55. The Tigers went 0-3 in the tournament, as it was a tough week for both squads.

TSnews The Conway Springs Cardinals boys basketball team came up just short in its quest to take third place last Saturday at the Chaparral Roadrunner Classic, falling to the Wellington Crusaders 63-59. Conway Springs (7-5) trailed its Highway 160 rivals 34-22 at the intermission, but chipped the deficit down to 48-40 by the start of the fourth quarter, and continued to do so in the final period.

TSnews The Eisenhower Tigers girls basketball team traveled to Campus on Jan. 16 and came home with a win, 46-15.
