TSnews The Cheney Cardinals girls basketball team shook off a Monday loss last week to win twice, including a 48-22 win over the Trinity Academy Knights on Heart-to-Heart night in Cheney.

TSnews The Conway Springs Cardinals boys basketball team ran its winning streak to three games last Friday when it rolled past Central Plains League rival Belle Plaine 62-35. Last Tuesday, the Cardinals beat Chaparral 51-33.

TSnews The Andale boys basketball team drained 11 3-pointers and scored 22 points off of turnovers to steadily pull away in a 70-39 victory last Friday over the Clearwater Indians.

TSnews The Argonia Raiders girls basketball team took a six-point lead to the locker room last Friday, but could not hold off a second-half comeback in a 45-43 loss to Flinthills on homecoming.

TSnews The Eisenhower Tigers girls basketball team lost to Hutchinson and Salina Central last week, extending their losing streak to six games. The last three losses, however, have been decided by single-digit margins.

TSnews The Goddard Lions boys basketball team kept its league hopes alive last week, winning at Valley Center 65-59 on Tuesday, Feb. 6.

TSnews The Campus Colts had a good defensive effort in a 40-19 home loss to the Maize Eagles last week on Tuesday. The Colts’ offensive woes continued, but their defense gave up just 6 points in the second quarter.

TSnews Giving up just 8 points in the second half, the Garden Plain Owls cruised to a 44-27 win over the visiting Kingman Eagles last Friday. This was the first time this season the Owls have won consecutive games, following a thrilling overtime win at the Independent Panthers three nights earlier.

OVERLAND PARK – The College Baseball Hall of Fame will open its first-ever physical location in the Kansas City suburb of Overland Park, located in Johnson County. The announcement comes from the College Baseball Foundation and Visit Overland Park.
