TSnews The Conway Springs Cardinals boys basketball team shook off a loss to Kingman earlier in the week to down the Garden Plain Owls 39-34 last Friday.

TSnews The Eisenhower Tigers boys basketball team traveled to Andover on Tuesday, Jan. 30, losing a close one, 58-57.

Last Tuesday against Kingman, the Cardinals fell to Kingman 48-42. Conway Springs trailed 25-13 at halftime, but outscored the Eagles 21-8 in the third to lead 34-33 at the start of the final period.

TSnews Strong runs in the second and fourth quarters helped the Cheney Cardinals to a 73-50 win over the visiting Garden Plain Owls on Jan. 30.

TSnews The Campus Colts placed second at home on senior night last Thursday. Head coach Kelly Kennedy said the Colts were down three swimmers due to illness but still had a solid meet.

TSnews The Goddard Lions boys wrestling team gathered some nice momentum ahead of the postseason last weekend when it took second at the Rose Hill Invitational. The Lions finished second with 202 1/2 points, 17 behind champion and host Rose Hill.

TSnews The Goddard Lions girls basketball team hosted the Campus Colts on Tuesday, Jan. 30, preventing the visitors from scoring any points during the first half and running away with a 58-16 victory.

TSnews The Argonia Raiders and the Cedar Vale/ Dexter Spartans needed more than four quarters of basketball to decide last Friday’s boys basketball game at Cedar Vale. The game went to double- overtime before CVD prevailed 50-49, sending the Raiders to their third loss in a row.

TSnews The Clearwater Indians boys basketball team hit just five field goals after halftime Monday night as the Wichita Trinity Knights pulled away in the second half for a 63-31 victory. It was the fourth loss in a row for the Indians, who dropped to 4-11.

TSnews The Eisenhower Tigers boys bowlers won Saturday’s Crusader Classic at The Alley-Hutchinson. They bowled 3317, besting Emporia (3033) by nearly 300 pints.
