HWMS singers to perform at Thunder game

HAYSVILLE – The Silverback Singers at Haysville West Middle School will perform “The Star-Spangled Banner” at this Saturday's Wichita Thunder hockey game. The performance will take place shortly before the 6:05 p.m.

Raiders fall in double OT at South Barber

TSnews The Argonia Raiders boys basketball team came painfully close to stopping a two-game skid in its pre-holiday finale last Friday at South Barber. The Raiders rallied to force overtime, but ultimately came up just short in a 64-63 double-overtime loss to the host Chieftains last Friday.

Owls split CPL duals

TSnews The Garden Plain Owls wrestling team had a mixed finish to the varsity part of its pre-holiday schedule last Thursday when it split a triangular dual with Central Plains League rivals Cheney and Chaparral. The Owls beat Cheney 48-12, but fell to Chaparral 48-30.

York, Rothenberger win titles for Tigers

TSnews The Eisenhower Tigers wrestling team wrapped up 2025 by competing at a pair of tough tournaments last weekend, with the boys heading to the Emporia Winter Classic and the girls competing at the Wichita North Invitational.

TSnews The Cheney Cardinals wrestling team had one of its female wrestlers end 2025 with a strong performance at a tournament last week.

Campus girls win Wichita North invite

TSnews The Campus Colts girls wrestling team is taking a full head of momentum into the holidays after taking the title at the Wichita North Invitational last weekend. The Colts finished first with 185 points to easily outdistance the competition, with 11 of their 14 girls placing.
