Body TSnews The Eisenhower Tigers wrestling team had four wrestlers place in the top four – three boys and a girl – at boys and girls invites at Pratt last weekend.

Body TSnews The Eisenhower and Goddard swimming and diving team placed fourth in the nine-team Newton Invitational last Thursday. The Tigers and the Buhler Crusaders battled for third place, with Buhler edging Eisenhower by 3 points, 165-162.

Body TSnews The Garden Plain Owls boys wrestling team opened its season in strong fashion last weekend by taking fifth at the always-tough El Dorado Wrestling Tournament. “I’m pleased with the boys performance overall,” Garden Plain coach Travis Daerr said.

Body TSnews The Goddard Lions boys and girls wrestling teams did not back down from a challenge to open the season last weekend, with the boys heading to the always-tough Gardner- Edgerton Invitational and the girls heading to the Pratt Invitational.

Body TSnews The Clearwater Indians wrestled their first tournaments of the season last weekend at Pratt, with the girls wrestling last Friday and the boys competing the next day. When it was all said and done, the boys finished ninth and the girls placed 10th.

Body TSnews The Campus Colts girls wrestling team made quite the impression in its first tournament of the season last weekend as it won the Valley Center Girls Invitational. The Colts won the tournament with 214 points, 33 more than runner-up Derby.

Body The Campus Colts started the new girls basketball season with three losses on consecutive nights, as they took part in the Salina Invitational. The Colts ended the stretch with a 41-28 loss at host Salina South on Saturday.

Body TSnews The Clearwater Indians girls basketball team found itself in an early hole that it could never fully dig out of as the Indians suffered a 41-31 loss to the Chapman Irish in last Friday’s season opener. “We got off to a slow start,” Clearwater coach Maygan Doll said.

Body TSnews The Cheney girls basketball season started the new season on a positive note, beating the Sterling Black Bears 44-30 at home on Dec. 2.

Body TSnews The Conway Springs Cardinals girls basketball team came painfully close to rallying from a big deficit in last Friday’s season opener at Medicine Lodge.
