Clearwater trailed the Rockets 9-4 after the opening period, but closed the game to 17-15 by halftime and tied the score at 26 by the start of the fourth quarter.

Tigers girls go 1-2 in tough week

CSHS Cardinals win two more

TSnews The Conway Springs Cardinals boys basketball team has some momentum going into 2026 after taking their third win in a row last Friday by downing a shorthanded Fairfield squad 62-20. The Cardinals led 17-2 after the opening period and pushed their lead to 37-8 by the intermission and 50-13 by the start of the fourth quarter.

Cheney Cardinals to depart Central Plains League for CKL

TSnews The Cheney Cardinals will be departing the Central Plains League, its longtime home for athletics and and activities competition, and will join the Central Kansas League. The move will impact both Cheney High School and Cheney Middle School, as CMS will move from the Central Plains Middle School League to be part of the Central Kansas League Middle School League.

Lions girls split games last week

The Goddard Lions girls basketball team opened last week with a 48-38 home win over Buhler on Tuesday, then fell 47-32 at Andover Central on Friday. Head coach Jeremy Heim said his team’s tempo and pressure made the difference late against Buhler.
