TSnews ARGONIA – The Argonia City Council had a light agenda at its monthly meeting, held on March 3. Council members heard that a lawsuit against Macquarie Energy over price gouging during Winter Storm Uri had been dismissed.

70 Years Ago Robert G. Farris, a 1939 graduate of Cheney High School, has been named advertising manager of the Bendix Home Appliances Division of Avco Manufacturing Corporation in Cincinnati, Ohio.

8 Years Ago Members of the Haysville United Methodist Church know about the power of prayer, but also to be careful what they pray for. Several months ago, the church's roof began to leak, so members prayed for help finding the $75,000 necessary to replace it.

CLEARWATER – A Go Fund Me effort is raising money to help cover funeral expenses for Whitney Allmond of Clearwater. Almond died Jan.

TSnews CLEARWATER – During its meeting March 11, the Clearwater City Council took several actions to pave the way for construction of phase 2 of the Indian Ridge addition. Bryan Lagaly Homes, the developer, had previously planned to complete only Indian Ridge Drive, but more recently decided to complete roads and infrastructure for the entire phase.

TSnews GODDARD – Members of the Goddard Chamber of Commerce got a quick education last week from an enforcement officer with the ABC. Cori Tuxhorn, an enforcement agent with Alcoholic Beverage Control, was the guest speaker at the Chamber's March meeting.

TSnews CONWAY SPRINGS – With plans moving ahead on a first round of street improvements in Conway Springs, City Council members last week targeted the second round of street work to tackle in the community. Identifying that second round of work was important, since a new state grant deadline is fast approaching.
