TSnews ARGONIA – The Argonia City Council had a light agenda at its monthly meeting, held on March 3. Council members heard that a lawsuit against Macquarie Energy over price gouging during Winter Storm Uri had been dismissed.

From March 1950 The wind whipped up to over 50 miles an hour from the south on Monday, continued at over 40 through the night, and Tuesday had strong winds that forced through every crevice. There were periodic snow flurries and temperatures down in the 20s. Crop damage has not been determined, but the newly sown oats and spring barley suffered the most.

City council paves way for Indian Ridge Phase 2

TSnews CLEARWATER – During its meeting March 11, the Clearwater City Council took several actions to pave the way for construction of phase 2 of the Indian Ridge addition. Bryan Lagaly Homes, the developer, had previously planned to complete only Indian Ridge Drive, but more recently decided to complete roads and infrastructure for the entire phase.

Conway Springs targets second round of street projects

TSnews CONWAY SPRINGS – With plans moving ahead on a first round of street improvements in Conway Springs, City Council members last week targeted the second round of street work to tackle in the community. Identifying that second round of work was important, since a new state grant deadline is fast approaching.
