Body CHENEY – The Fort Hays State University Alumni Office has announced nominees for its three honorary commencement awards. Kelsi White of Cheney, majoring in communication sciences and disorders, is one of the nominees for the 2025 Torch Award.

Body HAYSVILLE – The Main Stage Players at Campus High School will stage the classic “Anne of Green Gables” this weekend. Performances will be at 7 p.m.

Body TSnews CLEARWATER – During a 15-minute meeting on April 22, the Clearwater City Council voted unanimously to annex remaining property that makes up the Clearwater Cemetery. The council also held a brief discussion regarding controlled burns in Hammers Prairie Park.

Body TSnews GODDARD – A chance meeting at the Goddard Senior Center has led to love for two Sedgwick County residents. Gary Herrman and Carolyn (Weeks) Herrman met last October, and soon hit it off.
