Cheney Chamber ready for car show event in early May

Body CHENEY – The annual Cheney Fire Department Car Show is being planned for the first Saturday in May, and members of the Cheney Chamber of Commerce continued to discuss the group's involvement with the event during the Chamber's monthly meeting last week.

Haysville approves street projects

Body HAYSVILLE – The Haysville City Council at its meeting on April 13 approved the city’s 2026 street program, which expects to resurface approximately 50,000 square yards of streets.

Park construction contract awarded

Body GODDARD – The city’s new North Park will be built by Conco Construction, thanks to action taken at Monday’s Goddard City Council meeting. The council awarded a construction contract to Conco, which was one of three companies to submit bids.

'Home away from home'

Body CLEARWATER – City officials and members of the Clearwater Senior Center came together Monday afternoon to officially break ground on an expansion of the senior center. The $475,000 expansion is being funded through a temporary note.
