Brad Dilts knows the importance of the soil as a farmer. Dilts and his wife, Tiffany, own and operate Serenity Farm near Sedgwick – and their dedication to soil conservation has earned them the 2025 Urban Conservation Award from the Sedgwick County Conservation District.

For some farmers, soil conservation practices are a relatively new thing. Not for Scott Van Allen.

CONWAY SPRINGS – The artists of the month for February and March have been named by Conway Springs High School. In February, Amelia Meyers, a senior and independent art student, was selected for her colored pencil drawing, “Contact.” It was displayed at Conway Springs City Hall.

From February 1937 Dr. R.C. Craig has moved to Argonia and is opening his practice at the beginning of next week in the rooms formerly occupied by Doctors Wooden and Buckles. The offices are being remodeled and re-furnished to suit the needs of Dr. Craig. He has rooms at the Homer Thompson home.
