Carmen Smith, plumber, was severely burned while working at the Miller Harper home south of town late Monday evening. He had mixed an acid solution used in thawing or cleaning drain pipes, etc. He slipped and fell, causing the solution to slop and hit him in the face, causing some very bad burns. CHENEY – The annual Cheney Fire Department Car Show is being planned for the first Saturday in May, and members of the Cheney Chamber of Commerce agreed at their most recent meeting to continue the group's involvement with the event.
