Brady Hoffman ends Fair career with a bang

Brady Hoffman certainly knows how to wrap up an illustrious career of competing at the Sumner County Fair – and in 4-H overall. Hoffman, who started college this month, won grand champion in round robin showmanship at the Sumner County Fair, plus grand champion in sheep showmanship, grand champion and reserve grand champion in breeding sheep and first place in a market sheep category.

Harlan wins ‘Purple Rain’ of ribbons

TSnews Wyatt Harlan racked up so many purple ribbons at the Sumner County Fair and the Sumner County 4-H Fair that it almost felt like the classic Prince song, “Purple Rain.” Harlan received 10 purple ribbons at this year’s 4-H Fair, including for ag mechanical – which won grand champion – plus black and white photo, drawing, jelly, jelly display, wheat weaving, felt pouch, felt ICT flag, banana bread and cucumbers. Harlan also received purples for his hand pet and rabbit.
