Clearwater Fall Festival seeks volunteers

Body CLEARWATER – The Clearwater Fall Festival is just more than a week away, and organizers are hoping to find a few more volunteers to help make the event a success. Volunteers are needed to help with selling wristbands, buttons and shirts, assisting with events, and cleaning up.

Hula to appear in BCC play

Body GODDARD – Dominic Hula of Goddard will appear in the Butler Community College performance of “The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane.” The show in El Dorado will be at 7 p.m. this Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with an additional show at 2 p.m.

Body TSnews HAYSVILLE – The Vickers Petroleum Service Station on Main Street in Haysville serves as a fantastic piece of history and is currently the home of the City of Haysville Development Office. Years ago, however, it was one of several gas stations within sight of each other.

Fall Fest comes to Conway Springs

Body CONWAY SPRINGS – Conway Springs is gearing up for the 33rd annual Fall Festival event, taking place this Saturday. The theme is “Circus Spectacular.” In addition to Saturday’s events, a few activities and food are scheduled for Friday night as well as a Sunday worship in the park.

Conway Springs native wins $1,000 scholarship

Body TSnews WELLINGTON – Now that Janel Meyer is busy at college, she’s especially glad for her connection with Conway Springs and Sumner County. Meyer was the scholarship winner this year from the Sumner County Farm Bureau Association.
