Argonia welcomes regional childcare center

Many schools operate daycares for their staff with a few openings left for local community members; however, when Argonia Schools opened Sunflower Station Childcare Center, a high-quality childcare option opened up for families from the entire western Sumner and eastern Harper county areas. Opening in June of 2024 with a capacity of 24 children in their temporary space at the Argonia Elementary School, the permanent location behind Argonia High School will be ready for move-in as soon as the state licensure process is complete in the next couple of months.

Young wins at Junior Olympics

CHENEY – Autry Young claimed the title of national champion in the shot put after defending her title at the AAU Junior Olympic Games in Greensboro, N.C., and winning the 13-year-old girls' competition.
