Haysville makes facade grant available for local businesses

TSnews The City of Haysville is making available a program to give businesses in the city a chance to improve the appearance of their storefronts. Haysville mayor Russ Kessler said the city is offering facade grants of up to $5,000 each for the purpose of allowing local businesses the opportunity to make improvements to the outside of their buildings.

Conway Springs approves EMS deal, applauds partnership with Wellington

TSnews CONWAY SPRINGS – Noting their efforts to be financially responsible, city officials applauded the chance to work with the City of Wellington after the Conway Springs City Council last week approved a three-part agreement with Wellington Fire and EMS to take over local EMS operations. Representatives from the City of Wellington were on hand for the meeting, as City Council members reviewed the agreement and then voted unanimously to approve it.

New assisted living facility coming to Haysville

TSnews HAYSVILLE – In mid-February, City of Haysville officials and representatives of Midwest Health gathered for an important evening of celebration as construction of a new assisted living and memory care facility in the community was announced. The new facility will be called Homestead of Haysville, and will be constructed off East Carla Avenue.

Severe weather possible this week

The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center said Tuesday that severe weather is possible for this Thursday and Friday. Early models showed Thursday’s primary threat area extending from Midland, Texas, into western Kansas near Dodge City.
