Phil's liquor cabinet honors father's legacy

GARDEN PLAIN – After several years without a true liquor store in town, Garden Plain has a new option for wine, beer, and spirits, and that new business carries some old history. Phil's Liquor Cabinet had a soft opening on May 18.

Haysville man pleads guilty to contempt

Staff Report TSnews HAYSVILLE – The man charged with contempt at the start of a recent murder trial pleaded guilty on Monday morning. On April 25, District Judge Tyler Roush charged Kyle Wissner, 22, of Haysville, with contempt for violating his orders to not discuss the Javan Ervin case.

FBI leading investigation into suspicious letters

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) announced that the investigation into around 100 suspicious letters sent to legislators and public officials has now expanded beyond Kansas, so the FBI will now be the agency leading the investigation.
