Cheney Chamber continues to offer beautification grants

CHENEY – At its June meeting, members of the Cheney Chamber of Commerce approved a beautification project for Kirkham Michael in downtown Cheney and agreed to contribute $200 to the project. It was a good opportunity for the Cheney Chamber to review its Main Street Grant program, and make note that funds are still available for more projects.

Non-emergency fireworks number

Sedgwick County will operate a non-emergency number for fireworks complaints. It is meant to receive calls for non-emergency nuisances that do not pose a threat to life or property. This includes fireworks complaints, parties and excess noise. The line will operate from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m. from June 30 to July 5. Call 316-290-1011.
