Body Two local students were among more than 100 Emporia State University students who received special recognition from The Teachers College at the end of the 2022-23 academic year. Twenty-four received outstanding student awards and 96 students were honored for achievement of a 3.

Body ARGONIA – Argonia High School and Argonia Junior High School have named honor roll students for the second semester of the 2022-23 school year. Students earning a grade-point average of 3.7 and higher were named to the “A” honor roll.

Body CONWAY SPRINGS – Haylee Osner and Mya Devine Scott, both juniors at Conway Springs High School, have been selected to represent Wheatland Electric Cooperative at the Cooperative Youth Leadership Camp this summer.

Body HAYSVILLE – Nominations are being accepted through May 30 for the Haysville Citizen of the Year. This award is presented annually by the Haysville Park Board and honors one individual for his or her positive impact on the Haysville community.

Body The ceiling of the Farmers and Merchants insurance office fell causing considerable damage to the contents. The weight of the insulation was too great for the method used in fastening the fiber blocks to the joists. The job had been completed within the past year.
