Winds blast Kansas last week

Last week Thursday was an extremely windy day across the state, even by Kansas standards. The highest wind gusts were recorded in the southwest part of Kansas, with 75 mile-per-hour gusts seen in Garden City and just north of Dodge City, according to the National Weather Service.
