Garden Plain to get new track at high school

KSHSAA sanctions girls flag football

TSnews The Kansas State High School Activities Association Board of Directors voted on April 23 to add girls flag football as an official KSHSAA-sanctioned activity, starting in the 2026-27 school year. Kansas is now the 18th state to sanction the sport, which will start in the fall.

No charges in Lake Afton death

Staff report TSnews SEDGWICK COUNTY – The Sedgwick County Sheriff ’s Office has closed its investigation into the death of Ian Alexander Shelton after the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office declined to file criminal charges. Detectives presented the case findings to the district attorney on Wednesday, April 22.

Legacy Bank to lend name to new park in Goddard

GODDARD – The City of Goddard has announced it is officially naming the highly anticipated Goddard North Park as Legacy Bank Park, recognizing a transformational leadership gift from Legacy Bank in support of one of the community’s most significant public investments to date.
