Body
About 15 Cheney High School students took a break between final exams on Tuesday morning to help with clean-up from Monday night’s storms at the Sedgwick County Fairgrounds. While the worst storm damage appears to have been in and around Cheney, there also was more minor damage around the TSnews coverage area. In Goddard, high winds hammered the city overnight, causing limb damage and some fence damage, according to City Hall staff members. No reports of any serious damage had been turned in to City Hall as of mid-morning Tuesday. Garden Plain also had limbs down in numerous places, but City Hall officials said there appeared to be much less damage than Cheney had experienced. Cleanup was going well in that community Tuesday.
