TSnews The Clearwater Indians wrestling team racked up several achievements last week, but the biggest one might have been last Thursday when the Indians defeated Andale 36-32 in a dual. “The Andale dual was a big step in the right direction for our program,” Clearwater coach Cooper Ross said.

TSnews The Goddard Lions girls basketball team hosted Maize South on Tuesday, Jan. 16, and had a tough night, losing 52-23.

TSnews The Conway Springs Cardinals girls basketball team found itself in a 10-point hole at halftime last Tuesday and never could fully recover in a 5750 loss to the Chaparral Roadrunners.

TSnews The Garden Plain Owls boys basketball team exploded out of the gate Tuesday night, racing to a 22-7 first-quarter lead at the Trinity Academy Knights. They rode that momentum to a 64-41 victory.

The Campus Colts swimming and diving team swims twice this week after being idle last week. The Colts started the week on Tuesday with a meet hosted by Derby, although the meet took place at Campus High School, which is the Panthers’ home pool.

TSnews The Conway Springs Cardinals boys basketball team returned to the hardwood last Thursday for the first time in more than three weeks and looked strong in a 47-26 win over Douglass. “We were happy to finally get back on the court against Douglass,” Conway Springs coach Paul Lange said.

TSnews The Cheney Cardinals girls basketball team won 43-30 last Friday at Kingman, improving their record to 8-1 this season. It was their second win since their lone loss, a Jan.

The Eisenhower Tigers girls wrestling team sent one wrestler to the Best of the West tournament at Wichita West last week and she won a pair of matches before bowing out.

TSnews The Eisenhower Tigers girls basketball team finished a few points ahead in a low-scoring rivalry game at Goddard on Jan. 12, 28-25.

TSnews Weather cut the Cheney Cardinals boys basketball team’s schedule in half last week, but the Cardinals performed well in the one game they did play, a 67-37 beating at the Kingman Eagles. The Cardinals made nine 3-point baskets and grabbed a season-high 38 rebounds.
