Blake takes 2nd for Indians

Body TSnews The Clearwater Indians boys and girls wrestling teams made the trip to the Pratt tournament last weekend to open the season and had one wrestler end up on the medal stand. On the girls’ side, Kiley Blake tool second at 170 pounds to lead the Indians.

Burling wins title for Colts at Valley

Body TSnews Brooklyn Burling had a day to remember last Saturday at the Valley Center Invitational. The Campus girls wrestler pinned all three of her opponents at 235 pounds to win the Colts’ lone title of the day.

Tigers 4th at Pratt

Body TSnews The Eisenhower Tigers boys and girls wrestling teams both made the trip to Pratt last weekend for tournaments to open the season. The boys wrestled last Saturday, while the girls competed the day before.

Campus swimmers place first at Salina

Body TSnews After taking first place at home last week, the Campus Colts swim team took the top of the leaderboards at the Salina South and Salina Central co-hosted meet on Nov. 30.

Cheney wins first-ever football title

Body TSnews With their white uniforms blending in with the heavy snowfall, the Cheney Cardinals turned in a dominant performance in winning their first-ever State football title, a 34-7 victory over the Topeka Hayden Wildcats. Both teams struggled to move the ball.

Conway Springs adds to legacy with State victory

Body TSnews Another chapter has been written in the outstanding history of Conway Springs football. The Cardinals won their eighth State championship – the first at Class 1A – with a dominating 35-6 victory over the Jefferson County North Chargers.

Campus starts swim season strong

Body TSnews The Campus High School boys swim team started its 2023-2024 season strong at the first home meet of the season, placing first as a team. Together they scored a total of 340.50 points.

Cheney leads CPL honors

Body TSnews The Cheney Cardinals took the top volleyball awards in the Central Plains League. Senior outside hitter Alex Bittner was named player of the year, and Sara Walkup was chosen as coach of the year.

Players earn AVCTL honors

Body TSnews Several local volleyball players earned all-league honors in the Ark Valley Chisholm Trail League. Four local schools play in the AVCTL – Campus in Division I, Goddard and Eisenhower in Division II, and Clearwater in Division IV.
