TSnews This year’s Cheney Cardinals track and field team enters the new season looking to replace several athletes who competed at the State meet last year.

TSnews With 10 players, including six starters, back from a 20-win season last spring, the Cheney Cardinals baseball team is taking aim at another good season. Leading the way are a pair of three-year starters in seniors Reece Tolar and Kaden Ludwig.

TSnews The Campus Colts boys tennis team enters the 2026 season with a large roster of 25 players, headlined by a senior class of nine that includes most of last year’s varsity contributors.

TSnews The Campus Colts girls swim team returns two State qualifiers while it simultaneously provides a home for swimmers at schools without their own teams or facilities.

TSnews Last year, the Campus Colts golf team finished most tournaments near the bottom of the standings. There were several first-time golfers on the team, so the season was a learning experience.

TSnews A pair of State-qualifying athletes will lead this year’s Campus track and field team, as the Colts work to build up their young program. The Colts had a small State-qualifying contingent in 2025, competing in just four events, including one relay.

TSnews The Campus Colts girls soccer team enters the 2026 season with a large roster, a wealth of returning talent, and the memory of last year’s Titan Classic tournament championship, the program’s first in-season tournament title in at least seven years.

TSnews The Campus Colts baseball team will serve youth this season after last spring’s 19-7 squad was hit hard by graduation. The Colts’ lone returning starters are senior Owen Glamann and junior Trace Van Asdale, and head coach Colton Flax expects they will carry the mail for Campus this season.

TSnews After four years as an assistant coach for the Campus Colts softball team, Emily Prichard is ready to take the program’s reins this season. “It has been a privilege to be part of Campus softball for the past four years as an assistant coach,” Prichard said.

TSnews Sumner County was well-represented at last week’s NJCAA Tournament at the Hutchinson Sports Arena.
