Colts place fourth at Mulvane tourney

The Colts struggled mightily on offense in the first half of the game, scoring just 9 points and finding themselves in a 15-point hole at halftime.

Lions go 2-1 at Lady Cat Classic

TSnews The Goddard Lions girls basketball team went 2-1 at the El Dorado Lady Cat Classic, bouncing back from a 58-36 loss to Kapaun Mt. Carmel on Thursday, Jan. 29, to beat Augusta 55-42 on Friday and Gardner-Edgerton 4740 on Saturday.

Lions drop 2 at Bluestem Classic

The Goddard Lions boys basketball team dropped two games at the Bluestem Classic in El Dorado, falling to Wichita Collegiate 80-32 on Thursday, Jan. 22, and to Wichita Trinity Academy 58-45 on Friday, Jan. 23.

The Campus Colts wrestling team came painfully close to winning a league title on the girls side last week. The Campus girls took second at last Thursday’s Ark Valley Chisholm Trail League Division I Tournament, going 5-1 on the evening.

Conway Springs to be top seed at Mulvane

After a week off, the Conway Springs Cardinals girls basketball team is slated to return to the court Thursday as the top seed at the Mulvane Wildcat Classic. The Cardinals tip off the tournament at 2:30 p.m.

Clearwater wins consolation semifinal at Chanute

The Clearwater Indians girls basketball team used a strong second quarter to take a 62-55 win last Friday over the Field Kindley Golden Tornadoes of Coffeyville in the consolation semifinals of the Ralph Miller Classic in Chanute.

Cards, Owls heading to Haven

The Cheney Cardinals and Garden Plain Owls girls basketball teams were idle last week as the boys teams played in the Adolp Rupp tournament in Halstead. The Cardinals and Owls will take part in this week’s Haven Wildcast Classic tournament, where both teams have been longtime participants.

Raiders take fifth at SCBL boys tournament

The Argonia Raiders boys basketball team continued its season-long renaissance as it took fifth place at the South Central Border League Tournament last week. The Raiders improved to 9-4 on the season after taking a 62-46 win last Friday over South Haven in the SCBL Tournament’s fifth-place game last Friday at Cowley College in Arkansas City.
