York, Rothenberger win titles for Tigers

TSnews The Eisenhower Tigers wrestling team wrapped up 2025 by competing at a pair of tough tournaments last weekend, with the boys heading to the Emporia Winter Classic and the girls competing at the Wichita North Invitational. On the boys side, the Tigers took eighth at Emporia with 90 1/2 points, edging out Jayhawk Linn/ Pleasanton by 4 1/2 points.

Arnold 6th at B.C.

TSnews The Cheney Cardinals wrestling team had one of its female wrestlers end 2025 with a strong performance at a tournament last week. Emma Arnold (135 pounds) won a pair of matches at the Bishop Carroll Invitational last weekend and took sixth at an event featuring much larger schools, including Maize and Wichita Heights.

Campus girls win Wichita North invite

TSnews The Campus Colts girls wrestling team is taking a full head of momentum into the holidays after taking the title at the Wichita North Invitational last weekend. The Colts finished first with 185 points to easily outdistance the competition, with 11 of their 14 girls placing.

Lions wrestle at KC Stampede

TSnews The Goddard Lions wrestling team wrapped up the 2025 portion of its schedule last weekend by making the trip to Missouri for its annual appearance at the Kansas City Stampede, one of the nation’s toughest tournaments. On the boys side, Oscar Gauna (113 pounds) took fourth place to lead the Lions, while Carson Walk (132), Nick Miller (138), Daxton Downing (144), Thomas Walter (150), Kolton McElwain (157), Grayson Means (175) and Graeson Reid (215) all earned wins at the rugged event.

Indians take third at Marion County duals

TSnews The Clearwater Indians wrestling team put an exclamation point on the 2025 portion of its season when its boys took third at the Marion County duals last Friday. The Indians swept the Hillsboro Maroon pool at the tournament, downing Hillsboro 70-12, Rock Creek 54-30 and West Elk 72-6.

TSnews The Clearwater Indians boys basketball team got a rough introduction against Ark Valley Chisholm Trail League Division IV competition last week, going 0-2 against its league foes. The Indians head into the break with a 2-4 record after a 66-28 loss at Rose Hill last Friday in AVCTL Division IV action.

Conway Springs wins fourth straight

TSnews The Conway Springs Cardinals girls basketball team had a dozen players break into the scoring column and drained nine 3-pointers on the way to a 67-31 win over Fairfield last Friday. The win was the Cardinals’ fourth in a row.
