U.S. 81 project to start in Haysville

Council approves resolution of support for street grant in CS

CONWAY SPRINGS – Work to secure grant funding for street improvements in this community is continuing. At their meeting last week, members of the Conway Springs City Council approved a resolution of support for the city's grant application with the Kansas Department of Transportation.

Cheney robotics teams qualify for Worlds

CHENEY – The Bandits are the first Cheney High School team ever to earn a berth at the Vex World Championship in Dallas. At the State championship tournament in Wichita on Saturday, March 8, they led in the robot skills event most of the day but were passed during the last hour by a team from Hesston and a team from Maize.

Challenger robotics team going to Worlds

GODDARD – By all accounts, this school year is the most successful one yet for robotics teams in the Goddard School District. Much of the success has happened at Challenger Intermediate School, where a team of sixth graders has qualified for next month’s VEX IQ World Championship May 12-14 in Dallas.

HONOLULU, HAWAII – No visit to Hawaii would be quite complete without an authentic Hawaiian luau. Months before Kim and I boarded the cruise ship Grand Princess for our trip to Hawaii, we did some research to find just the right luau experience that we wanted to have once our ship started four days of ports of call in the Hawaiian Islands.
