Three local high school students have been named as Prairie Schooner Mates for the 2025 Riverest in Wichita. The students are Avery Kassman from Campus High School, Madeline Watson from Eisenhower High School, and Brody Cole from Goddard High School.

Goddard man dies on Wichita highway

A man from Goddard died last Friday after being struck on a highway in Wichita. Joel Troyer, age 69, was driving south on Interstate 135 when he apparently lost some cargo and stopped in traffic to get it.
