North Park open house next week

Body GODDARD – Another public open house for the planned North Park in Goddard is set for 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. July 10, at the Goddard Community Building, 122 N.

Senior center to host family fun night

Body CLEARWATER – Monday night will be a big night at the Clearwater Senior Center, as the center hosts a family fun night. The night will included a pulled pork dinner for $10, $5 for children ages 10 and younger.

Curve goes on winning streak

Body TSnews The Kansas Curve summer baseball team entered this week with a record of 13-11 and currently is on a five-game winning streak. The Curve rolled past the Mulvane Patriots 13-3 last Thursday, then downed the Wichita Rangers 16-15 the next night.

Body 7 Years Ago Many events, such as frog jumping, took place in Riggs Park as part of the Fourth of July festivities held on Tuesday. On June 20, Haysville Piranhas swim coach Kelly Kennedy was with his wife, Pam, as she underwent surgery to combat breast cancer.

Construction work has become a bigger issue

Body 70 Years Ago In the past six years, the city of Cheney has had more than 50 new homes constructed, 20 houses moved into the town and made into new homes, and nearly a dozen new business and public buildings made. The population gained 130.
