Body TSnews Even in the midst of the summer heat, it's about to sound a lot like Christmas in Goddard. Christmas in July begins on Monday, July 8, at the Goddard Church and will run on Mondays from 7-8:30 p.m.

Body TSnews CONWAY SPRINGS – At their meeting last week, members of the Conway Springs City Council heard a recommendation to beef up the size of their proposed street project. Darin Neufeld with EBH discussed adding additional streets to the street project.

Body GODDARD – The Goddard Education Association presented $500 scholarships to two seniors in the district for use in their pursuit of college degrees in the field of education.

Body The registrar’s office at Cowley College has released the names of students who earned spots on the president’s and dean’s honor rolls for the fall 2023 semester. Students listed on the president’s honor roll earned 4.0 grade-point averages, on a 4.

Body Newman University officials have announced the students who completed the requirements to earn a degree at the close of the 2024 spring semester. Following is a list of the local graduates.

Body Southwestern College held Commencement exercises on May 5 in Winfield. The ceremony was preceded by receptions for graduates and their families, and the Order of the Mound honorary society induction which represents the top 10 percent academically.

Body GODDARD – Kiara Pavlik was among 3,484 graduates who received degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln during commencement exercises May 3, 17 and 18.

Body Local students recently earned degrees from Benedictine College in Atchison. The college graduated 485 students during ceremonies on May 11. It was the largest graduating class in the school's history.

Body CLEARWATER – Corbin Smith, a graduate of Clearwater High School, was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Drury University in Springsfield, Mo. Students must earn a grade-point average of 3.6 or higher to earn honors..
