Clearwater turns down incentive request

Body TSnews CLEARWATER – During its June 25 meeting, the Clearwater City Council renewed consideration of a developer's incentive request that first came before the governing body last month.

Students on SNHU honors list

Body Southern New Hampshire University has announced the students named to the winter 2024 president's list, which ran from January to May. Students earning honors were Margo Tucker and Jessica Le-Doux, both of Goddard.

Mort earns Washburn degree

Body HAYSVILLE – Jesse Mort of Haysville is among the students in the spring 2024 graduating class at Washburn University in Topeka. More than 1,200 students earned degrees from Washburn University, Washburn University School of Law, and Washburn Institute of Technology.

Body HAYSVILLE – Butler Community College faculty, staff and students gathered together in the R.D. Hubbard Welcome Center on the El Dorado campus to celebrate the nominees and winners of the 2024 Student Life Awards.

Decker on president’s list

Body VIOLA – Hannah Decker of Viola has been named to the spring 2024 president’s list at LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas. The president’s list recognized students with a perfect 4.0 grade-point average for the semester.

Haysville Chamber hears update on Ronald McDonald House

Body TSnews HAYSVILLE – Each year, the Ronald McDonald House in Wichita serves more than 6,200 people through its variety of services. Some of those services, like the Ronald McDonald Family Room, even help serve people from communities around Wichita, like Haysville.

Cardinals 4-H visits honey shop

Body 4-H Club Reporter The Cardinals 4H club went to Rowan’s Honey Shop in Norwich June 23, where Sharon Rowan gave them a tour and spoke to them. Afterwards, their monthly meeting took place.

Haysville seeks info on vandalism

Body HAYSVILLE – Recently, 600 feet of wire was stolen from the underground conduit that powers the antique lights along Meridian, and fixtures were removed from the restroom at Plagens-Carpenter Park.
This bathroom was recently vandalized at Plagens-Carpenter Park in Haysville. Several parks have been vandalized recently. The city is asking for the public’s help in identifying suspects. Contributed photo
