Special Board of Education Meeting January 19, 2026 Minutes of Meeting A special meeting of the board of education was called to order by President Curtis Winter at 6:00 p.m. Other members present were Bruce Harrington, Bill Dalbom, Mark Hemberger, Aaron Lange, Allen Lange, and Brandon J. Pauly. Others present were David Grover and Katie Zoglmann.

Clearwater students attend Sterling band day

More than 70 outstanding high school musicians from across Kansas came together on Jan. 8 for the Second Annual Sterling College Honor Band Day and Concert, a one-day intensive musical experience held on the Sterling College campus. The culminating concert took place at Culbertson Auditorium and showcased the results of hours of focused rehearsal and collaboration.

WELLINGTON – The Sumner County Historical and Genealogical Society will host “America 250: Stories from the Revolutionary War,' a presentation by Ken Spurgeon. It will take place at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Cowley College, Short General Education Center, Room 113, 2208 Davis-White Loop, Wellington.
