Body TSnews The Goddard Lions will take part in the Class 5A State meet this week at Cessna Stadium at Wichita State University. The Lions are sending a total of 11 athletes to State.

Body TSnews With 76.5 points, the Eisenhower boys track and field team placed third at last Thursday’s Class 5A regional meet at Maize South. The Tigers edged past Hutchinson by just 2.5 points.

Body TSnews The Conway Springs Cardinals track and field team will compete in this week’s Class 2A State in six individual events and a relay. They qualified last Thursday at the Class 2A regional meet in Marion.

Body TSnews All three soccer teams in the TSnews coverage area saw their seasons end in regional play last week. The Goddard Lions and Campus Colts lost first-round matches, while the Eisenhower Tigers advanced to a regional final before exiting the postseason.

Body TSnews The Argonia Raiders won’t have any representatives at this year’s Class 1A State track meet. The Raiders came close in some events, but were not able to get the top-four finish needed in any event to qualify for State.

Body TSnews The Campus Colts swim team wrapped up the season at last week’s Class 6A State swim meet, held in Topeka. Senior swimmer Sayler Roberts put the cap on an outstanding swim career with a pair of top-5 performances.

Body TSnews The Eisenhower Tigers made it a clean sweep for the Goddard school district in baseball regional play last Wednesday by also capturing a Class 5A regional title.
