Lions boys season ends

Body TSnews The Goddard Lions boys basketball season came to a close last week. The team finished 17th in Class 5A West, missing the 16-team cutoff to be invited to play in a sub-state game this week.

Indians end season with losses

Body TSnews The Clearwater Indians boys basketball team ended its season with a pair of losses last week, falling 64-43 at Wellington last Tuesday and 57-24 to Andale last Thursday at Clearwater. The Indians end the season with a record of 1-19.

Owls win substate opener

Body TSnews Last Friday, the eighth-seeded Garden Plain Owls won their Class 3A substate opener 58-41 over the visiting Trojans of Southeast of Saline, seeded ninth.

Wichita Classical ends Cardinals’ season

Body TSnews The Conway Springs Cardinals boys basketball team could not dig out of an early hole as it fell to Wichita Classical 56-44 in the opening round of Class 2A substate play last Thursday in Conway Springs.

Clearwater on skid entering postseason

Body TSnews The Clearwater Indians girls basketball team enters postseason play on a three-game losing streak after the Indians lost 4630 to Andale at home last Thursday. Andale jumped out to a 12-9 lead after the opening period, then extended its lead to 29-18 by the intermission.

Hendrickson scores 11 for Colts

Body TSnews Sarah Hendrickson put up 11 points last Friday but the Campus Colts lost their last regular-season game, a 51-34 defeat to the visiting Salina Central Mustangs. The Colts did get scoring from eight different players, but no other scorers topped 5 points.

Ingalls ends Argonia’s season
