TSnews The Campus Colts lost 55-6 at the Salina South Cougars, dropping the Colts to 0-7 this football season. The Cougars had been winless until last Friday, but three of those losses were by a touchdown or less, and another was by just 10 points.

TSnews The Garden Plain Owls football team claimed its third straight district title with last Friday’s 49-0 homecoming shutout of the Douglass Bulldogs. The Owls went 4-0 in Class 2A District 5, with three blowout victories and a hard 15-14 win over Haven.

The Goddard Lions girls golf team had one of its golfers come home with a medal from the Class 5A State tournament earlier this week at Emporia. Sydney Chapman carded a 181 over the two-day event on Monday and Tuesday to finish 16th, earning a medal as a top-20 finisher at State.

The Eisenhower Tigers girls golf team ended its season on Kansas’ biggest stage as it took seventh at the Class 5A State tournament earlier this week at Emporia.

TSnews The Conway Springs girls tennis team capped a banner season with a team runner-up finish at the Class 3-1A State tournament in Salina, scoring 36 points to place second behind Ellsworth.

TSnews The Cheney Cardinals finally shook off a resilient Collegiate Spartans football team in last Friday’s 48-27 home win. It was a back-and-forth game into the third quarter.

TSnews The Cheney Cardinals girls golf team wrapped up a strong season earlier this week when it finished sixth at the Class 3-2-1A State tournament in Salina. As a team, the Cardinals shot a 737, one stroke behind Columbus for fifth and eight strokes behind fourth-place Silver Lake.

TSnews The undefeated Sterling Black Bears, looking like the best team in District 7 and one of the best teams in all of Class 1A, beat the host Conway Springs Cardinals 46-20 last Friday.

TSnews The Argonia Raiders continued their blazing run through the high school volleyball season as they swept through the South Central Border League Tournament last Saturday to bring home the championship trophy.
