TSnews The Eisenhower Tigers picked up an important win – their second of the season – by beating the Arkansas City Bulldogs football team 49-21 on homecoming night at Goddard District Stadium last Friday. The victory snapped the Tigers’ two-game losing skid, and improved their overall record to 2-4.

Cardinals win substate title, Owls eighth

TSnews The Cheney Cardinals girls golf team will take a lot of momentum into next week’s State tournament after winning the Class 3-2-1A substate at Larned on Monday. Cheney won the title with a score of 401, three strokes ahead of runner- up Larned.

Tennis players head to State tournaments

No. 1 Maize proves too much in win at Campus

TSnews The Campus Colts started off relatively well in last Friday’s homecoming football game against Maize, but the top-ranked Eagles eventually took over and secured a 53-9 victory. The Colts’ defense came up big on the game’s first drive, forcing a fumble that was recovered by Ja’Myias Caldwell.

Trojans tame the visiting Tigers

TSnews The Eisenhower Tigers’ suffered another tough loss, falling 35-7 at the Andover Trojans, and dropping to 1-4 this season. It’s a tough spot to be in for the Tigers, who finished the past two seasons just one game shy of State title appearances.

TSnews Better late than never for the Cheney Cardinals girls golf team. The Cardinals carded a 375 to edge out Hesston by one stroke to capture the Cheney Invitational last Tuesday at Cherry Oaks Golf Course.

Cardinals can’t get going at Trinity

TSnews The Conway Springs Cardinals’ struggles this football season continued last Friday against the Trinity Celtics in Hutchinson. The Cardinals lost 40-6, falling to 1-4 overall and 0-2 in Class 1A District 7.
