TSnews The Cheney Cardinals girls golf team continued its hot play this season as it won the Kingman Invitational last Thursday. The Cardinals shot 385 as a team, 42 strokes ahead of runner-up Pratt.

TSnews The Conway Springs Cardinals volleyball team continued its strong start to the season as it took second last Saturday at the Medicine Lodge tournament.

After give up that the lead, the Indians nearly pulled off a second comeback, getting within 15 yards of the end zone before falling 18-14 last Friday.

TSnews Big plays helped the Eisenhower Tigers shake off an 0-2 start as they pounded the Newton Railers 46-13 to pick up their first win of the season on Friday night in Goddard.

TSnews An overtime touchdown helped the host Andover Trojans to a 19-16 victory against the Goddard Lions on Friday night. It was a close game all night, with the Lions scoring a late touchdown to force the extra period.

TSnews The Argona-Attica Titans earned a 36-28 win in Dexter over the Cedar Vale-Dexter Spartans last Friday. Four touchdowns by Carson Vineyard – two rushing and two receiving – helped power the Titans to the win.

TSnews With a 28-7 victory last Friday in Garden Plain, the Cheney Cardinals extended their win streak over the Owls to six games. It’s a turnaround in a series that saw more wins by Garden Plain and Cheney, including a run of 13 straight victories from the 2000 season through 2012.

TSnews The Cheney Cardinals football team got into the win column last Friday with a 38-0 victory over the visiting Kingman Eagles. The win evened the Cardinals’ record at 1-1.

TSnews The Argonia-Attica Titans and Central Burden Raiders were locked in a tight battle throughout last Friday’s game, which ultimately was decided on a 2-point conversion that gave the Raiders a 22-20 double-overtime win over the Titans in Attica.
