Kitt grabs gold in shot put

Body
TSnews One of the best known clichés is “If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.” Eisenhower Tigers girls shot putter Stella Kitt epitomized that at last weekend’s Class 5A State track and field meet at Cessna Stadium in Wichita, overcoming a slow start in the event to win the State championship with a throw of an even 41 feet. After her first two throws were shorter than her season best, Kitt regrouped on her last preliminary throw to earn a spot in the final round, where she ended up making her State-winning throw.
