Conway Springs wins five State medals

TSnews The Conway Springs girls track and field team took a group to last weekend’s Class 2A State meet at Cessna Stadium in Wichita, and five of them came home with medals. Leading the way was Lairen Pauly, who took fifth in the triple jump, while Jade Erker took seventh in the 100 and Delaney Jones took seventh in the long jump.

Cardinals medal in six events at State

Haines finishes season at State for Argonia

TSnews The Argonia Raiders girls track and field team had one representative at last weekend’s Class 1A State meet at Cessna Stadium in Wichita, giving her a chance to cap her season on the biggest stage in Kansas. Argonia freshman Bailey Haines made it to State in her first year of high school in the 1600, taking 16th in the event with a time of 6:35.15.

Owls bring home haul of State medals

TSnews The Garden Plain Owls boys and girls track teams wrapped up a memorable season with a haul of medals at the Class 3A State meet last weekend at Cessna Stadium in Wichita. Leading the way on the girls side was Reese Stuhlsatz, who medaled in the 400 (third), 100 (fifth) and 200 (sixth) and also ran the anchor leg of the 4x400 relay team which took fourth.

Indians take fourth at State

TSnews SALINA – The Clearwater Indians did not get the happy ending they wanted at the Class 4A State tournament, but that does not tarnish what turned out to be a great season for the Indians on the softball diamond. Clearwater finished fourth at State, opening State play last Thursday by downing defending Class 4A champion Wamego 4-2 – and avenging a 17-inning loss to the Raiders from last season’s State tournament.

Williams, 4x100 relay win State titles for Clearwater

TSnews Saying that the Clearwater Indians boys and girls track teams had an outstanding run at the Class 4A State meet at Cessna Stadium in Wichita last weekend might be an understatement. The girls team won three events and took second in two more as the Indians had a weekend to remember.
