TSnews The Clearwater Indians softball team took a pair of softball games from Andale-Garden Plain last Thursday, 5-0 and 11-1, respectively, to finish Ark Valley Chisholm Trail League Division IV play 8-0 and lock up another league title. It was a slightly different story on Monday, as the Indians split with Buhler, winning the opener 3-1 and falling 8-2 in the nightcap.

Colts, Tigers take part in Campus meet

TSnews The Campus Colts and Eisenhower Tigers were among the 13 teams that took part in last Friday’s invitational track and field meet at Colt Stadium in Haysville. The Eisenhower boys and girls teams both placed fifth.

Goddard golfers win at Derby, Ark City

TSnews The Goddard Lions boys golf team had one of its best days of the season on Monday, winning the 12-team Derby tournament. The Lions scored 317, beating runner-up Valley Center by 24 strokes.

Colts lose to Derby in OT

TSnews The Campus Colts girls soccer team hosted Derby on April 24, losing a competitive game in the final seconds of overtime, 2-1. The Panthers went ahead early in the game, with a goal that resulted from a defensive mistake, Colts head coach Casey Reece said.

Still-unbeaten Tigers defeat crosstown rival Lions

TSnews The Eisenhower Tigers girls soccer team defended its undefeated record last week, winning 9-1 at Goddard on April 22, then traveling to Newton and winning 6-0. Mackenzie Jordan had a hat trick for the Tigers at Goddard, while Kaitlyn Celso, Reagan Best, Chloe Smith, Reese Nusser, Dani Smith and Ava McAninch scored a goal apiece.

TSnews The Cheney Cardinals and Clearwater Indians played 18 holes at Eagles Pub and Golf Course in Kingman on April 15. Cheney was in contention for a team win, shooting 345 and finishing just three strokes behind champion Pratt.

TSnews The Cheney Cardinals softball team scored a total of 39 runs last Thursday to sweep a twin bill at Medicine Lodge, taking the opener 21-12 and the nightcap 18-2. In the opener, Kendyll Walker had five hits and drove in six runs, while Adelle Fouquet added four hits and three RBIs.

TSnews The Cheney Cardinals baseball team used dominant pitching and solid offense to sweep a doubleheader last Thursday at Medicine Lodge, taking the opener 4-0 and the nightcap 7-2. In the opener, Cameron Eastman and Gracen Radell combined on a fivehit shutout, with Eastman starting and going four innings and Radell tossing the final three innings for the save.
