The Conway Springs Cardinals girls track and field team won its first team title this season, flying over the rest of the competition in the seven- team field at Chaparral High School. The Cardinals scored 191 points, a full 100 points over runner-up Chaparral.

Boys players from Conway Springs and Eisenhower high schools qualified for State tennis tournaments over the weekend, while Campus and Goddard saw their seasons come to a close. The Conway Springs Cardinals won their league tournament on May 5, then hosted their regional.

The Garden Plain girls claimed the team title at last Friday’s Larry Brown Invitational, hosted by Remington High School in Whitewater. The top three teams were far ahead of the rest of the field.
