TSnews The Clearwater Indians girls basketball team rode a strong start to a big 5023 win over the Winfield Vikings last Friday night at Clearwater. The Indians led 19-3 after the opening period and pushed their lead to 30-11 by halftime.

TSnews The Eisenhower Tigers girls basketball team hosted the Arkansas City Bulldogs on Feb. 4.

TSnews The Goddard Lions boys basketball team traveled to Arkansas City on Friday, Feb. 7, and came home with a win, 45-41.

The Haysville Colts will host the Ark Valley Chisholm Trail League Div. I meet this week, with diving on Friday night and swimming events on Saturday.

TSnews The Clearwater Indians boys basketball team started strong, but could not sustain that momentum in a 78-54 loss to Winfield last Friday at Clearwater. The Indians led 13-10 after the opening period, but Winfield used a 26-7 advantage in the second quarter to take a 36-20 lead to the locker room.

TSnews The Garden Plain Owls won 56-37 at the Conway Springs Cardinals last Friday, playing the role of spoiler on winter homecoming night. The Owls had a good first half, taking a 30-21 lead.

TSnews The Cheney Cardinals boys basketball team outscored the Garden Plain Owls 20-11 in the fourth quarter, helping the Cardinals to a 55-41 win at Garden Plain in a Central Plains League game Feb. 4.

TSnews The visiting Valley Center Hornets defeated the Campus Colts boys basketball team 65-55 on Friday night in Haysville. The Hornets stung the Colts for a homecoming night loss.

TSnews The Garden Plain Owls girls basketball team played the roll of spoiler last Friday, beating the host Conway Springs Cardinals 44-38 on homecoming night. The Cardinals took a 5-point lead after the first quarter.

TSnews The Argonia Raiders girls basketball team used a strong defensive effort to down Udall 47-27 last Tuesday. The Raiders led 15-6 after the opening period and 21-12 at the half, then used a strong third period to take a 36-17 lead to the fourth quarter.
