Body TSnews The Cheney girls cross country team is heading to Saturday’s Class 3A State championship at Rim Rock Farm in Lawrence. The Cardinals claimed the third and final team spot at the Wichita 3A regional, finishing behind host Trinity Academy and Hesston.

Body TSnews The Pratt Greenbacks football team – one of two front runners in Class 3A District 7, along with Cheney – won 42-13 at Clearwater last Friday. While the Indians’ offense struggled to move the ball, their defense did a commendable job, especially in the first half.

Body TSnews The stats from last Friday’s football game between the Eisenhower Tigers and visiting Andover Central Jaguars are a bit mind-blowing – 108 total points, more than 1,000 combined yards, 133 offensive plays and 16 touchdowns.

Body TSnews Kicking off an injured leg, Eli Benge helped keep the Conway Springs Cardinals’ football playoff hopes alive on Friday night. He hit a 22-yard field goal to give the Cardinals a 17-14 double overtime win at the Ellinwood Eagles.

Body The 6-player Cunningham Wildcats had no problem adjusting to 8-player football in last Friday’s 62-14 win over the Argonia-Attica Titans. The host Wildcats are a very good small-school program.

Body TSnews The Campus Colts boys soccer team rebounded from an 8-0 loss to Maize South on Monday, Oct. 14, with an 8-0 win over Circle on Wednesday at Clearwater High School.

Body TSnews The Cheney Cardinals girls and boys teams both placed second at Thursday’s Central Plains League, hosted by Trinity Academy. Trinity swept the championships.

Body TSnews The Campus Colts lost 55-6 at the Salina South Cougars, dropping the Colts to 0-7 this football season. The Cougars had been winless until last Friday, but three of those losses were by a touchdown or less, and another was by just 10 points.
