Roger Lee Bunck

Roger Lee Bunck, 81, of Viola, passed away April 14, 2025, with family at his side. He was born Christmas Day, 1943.

He retired from Cessna Aircraft, as tooling superintendent, after 30 years. Roger served in the Kansas Air National Guard and was deployed to Korea in 1968. He took pride in his service.

Dr. Ronald Gene Higgins of Wichita, longtime Clearwater dentist, died peacefully on April 15, 2025. He was 88.

He is survived by his wife, Rosalie Higgins, and his children, David Higgins (wife Angelique) of Los Angeles, Dr. Charisse Frisch-Bachrodt (husband Marc) of Wichita, and Claricia Mize (Frisch) of Lawrence, and Jennifer Frisch and Greg Frisch of Wichita. He will be remembered by 17 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joi Higgins (Stacey); his children, Garth, Gillian, and Gregory Higgins; and his sister, Mary Jo McMahan.

Gary Allen Klausmeyer, age 84, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2025.

Rosary will be at 6 p.m., Monday April 21, and with funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 22, both at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Clonmel.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Edna (Neises) Klausmeyer; son, Mark Klausmeyer; and siblings, Ron, Judy, William and Fred Klausmeyer.

Don L. Rhodes, 92, of Argonia, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Spring View Manor, Conway Springs.

Don was born April 13, 1932, in Argonia to Merle Ray “Deke” Rhodes and Helena Meta (Sipult) Rhodes. He grew up in the Argonia community, attending a nearby rural school before attending the Argonia public school. He graduated from Argonia High School with the class of 1952. Don went to work at Boeing Aircraft for two years prior to working in the construction of the Kansas Turnpike.

Patricia A. Solter, 92, passed away Monday evening, April 7, 2025, at her home in Conway Springs.

Pat was born Nov. 21, 1932, at Harper to David John Wagner and Eleanor (Weekly) Wagner. She attended Stanley Elementary school in Wichita before attending elementary schools in Harper and Arkansas City. She returned to Wichita and attended Franklin and McCormick elementary schools before attending years 7, 8 and 9 at Allison Junior High. She later attended Conway Springs high School and graduated with the class of 1950.

Jane Grosland, 81, of Lindsborg, Kansas, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2025 with her family by her side.

Jane was born in Northwood, Iowa, to Nora and R. Howe Pacey.

Jane proudly served as a registered nurse in the United States Air Force. She continued her career as an RN at various hospitals in Missouri and Kansas for more than 30 years.

On Nov. 4, 1967, Jane married Lanny Grosland in Northwood.

Survivors include a son, Mark Grosland (Becky); a daughter, Jill Wehner (Jim); and three sisters, Breta Jackson (Denny), Mary Hopperstad (Lonny), and Sonya Dahle.

Hugh E. “Red” Williamson

Hugh E. “Red” Williamson, age 94, died on April 11, 2025. He was born on Aug. 16, 1930, in Clearwater.

Red was the fifth of six children born to his parents, James Franklin Williamson and Jennie (Struthers) Williamson. He was preceded in death by his parents and all five siblings, Doris, Richard, Ruth, Edith and Judith. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Carol. Red is survived by his children, Cindy (David) Packard, Wendy Williamson and Barbara Williamson; and two granddaughters, Jenna (David) Stone and Christa Packard.

Delores Ann Keiter, 90, loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, passed away on Friday, March 28, 2025, in Cheney.
She was born on Valentine’s Day in 1935 to Mike and Anna (Brost) Becker. She was a hard worker and loved to spend time with he family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vincent; granddaughter, Andrea Cox; and sister, Martha Horsch.

Donald R. Beason, age 83, passed away on Friday, March 28, 2025.
Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Monday, April 7, and funeral service at 10 a.m. Monday, April 7, both at Webb Shinkle Mortuary, 200 S Tracy, Clearwater.
He was preceded in death by parents, Ralph and Dorothy (Otterson) Beason.
He is survived by his wife, JoAnn (Zandler) Beason; sister, Sheri Robson (Jim) of Wichita; brother, Michael (Patricia) Beason of Point Pleasant, N.J.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Russell Laverne Baker, 87, of Burrton, passed away on March 22, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Dec. 10, 1937, and throughout his life, he was known for his unwavering dedication to his family, his community and his work.
Russell was married to his beloved wife, Helen, for 65 years, and together they resided in Burrton, where they spent many wonderful years in the community. There, they raised two sons, Rusty and Tony, and created lasting memories with their grandchildren and friends.
