Gary Dean Martin of Clearwater, age 77, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2025.

A rosary was prayed at 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, and funeral Mass was held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 17, both at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 11000 W. Southwest Blvd., Wichita, which is in Schulte.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony “Tony” and Hilda (Mainz) Martin; brother, Eugene (Gene) Martin; and sisters, Shirley Simon and Arlene Hefley.

Jay M. Ford, 47, died Feb. 12, 2025 at his home at St. Marks.

He was born Nov. 24, 1977, in Wichita, the son of LeeRoy and Gail Hageman Ford. A longtime St. Marks resident, he was an owner/operator of his own auto-body repair shop as well as his own snow removal/lawn care business.

Jay was a member of the St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church.

Carolyn Virginia Clester (née Kendrick) passed away on Feb. 7, 2025, at the age of 82. 

Carolyn was born on May 27, 1942 to Charles Franklin and Virginia Marie (née Bartula) Kendrick in Fort Worth, Texas. She grew up in Broken Arrow, Okla., and graduated from Broken Arrow High School in 1960. Carolyn graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1964 with a bachelor’s degree in speech and language therapy.

Karen Ann Struble, 81, passed away Sunday, Feb. 9, 2025, at Spring View Manor, Conway Springs.

Karen was born Nov. 2, 1943, in Wichita, the daughter of Jacob Michael Ternes and Frieda Rose (Ast) Ternes. She grew up in Conway Springs, where she attended St. Joseph Catholic School. She graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in Wichita in 1961.

Roland “Rollie” Wayne Monson, age 80, of Wichita, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2025. He was born June 13, 1944, in Orange City, Iowa.

Rollie was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Helen Monson; sister, Lynn Wolf; and son, Robert Monson.

He is survived and missed by his wife of 59 years, Roberta Wise Monson; children, Rolanda Maness (David) and Reginald Monson (Stefanie); siblings, Darwin Monson and Carmen Diischer; and forever cherished and remembered by his 16 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and many other family members and friends.

Patsy J. Holder, 92 of Milton, passed away Monday, Jan. 27, 2025, at Patterson Health Center, Anthony.

Patsy Jane (Brewer) Holder was born May 18, 1932, at Milton to Howard Edward Brewer and Eva Grace (Rowan) Brewer. Pat, as she was affectionately known, grew up in the Milton community and attended the Milton public schools. She graduated from Milton High School in 1950 and continued her education by attending business college in Wichita.

Kay Sharon (Parsons) Fassnacht of Rose Hill, registered nurse, age 88, died Thursday, Jan. 30, 2024.

Service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, at Webb-Shinkle Mortuary, 200 S. Tracy, Clearwater.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Adrian “Skeet” and Donna Parsons; and children, William (Bill) Fassnacht and Janet Brault.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Donald Fassnacht; daughter and son-in-law, Diane and James Bale II of Derby; sister, Jann Reusser of Wichita; and grandchildren, Kaydence Bale, Collin Bale, Jason Brault and Jennifer Brault.

John Dalbom, age 81, of Clearwater, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2025.

Funeral Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at the First Baptist Church, 306 Ross Ave., Clearwater.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles “Dale” and Hazel (Matzen) Dalbom.

He is survived by his children, Julie Dalbom of Louisville, Ky., Eric Dalbom of Minneapolis, Minn., and Zachary (Shana) Dalbom of Wichita; siblings, Deanna (Tom Prin) Weeks of Edina, Minn., and Timothy (Pamela) Dalbom of Lenexa; and grandchildren, Eli, Jack and Stella.
