Body Aileen Hutchinson, 95, well-loved mom, grandma, great-grandma, sister, and aunt, passed away on Sept. 5, 2023, in Cheney. She was born Aug. 28, 1928, in Lone Star, Kan., to the late Donald and Lily (Johnson) Anderson. She was married to Jack S. Hutchinson on Oct.

Body Gerald Dean Blomstedt, 79, passed away on Sept. 4, 2023. Gerald was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force and then worked for Cessna as a superintendent of the flight line in Wichita.

Body Barbara Ellen Chard, longtime resident of Newton, died on Aug. 31, 2023, at the age of 89. She was born on Dec. 19, 1933, in Whitewater, the daughter of James and Helen (Hunt) Alexander. Barbara married Bill Chard on Nov.

Body Virgil Ernest “Ernie” Love, age 92, retired KG&E Murray Gill Substation shift foreman, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 3, 2023, after an 11-month battle with cancer. Visitation will be at 9 a.m. Friday, Sept.

Body Mary Ann (Coslett) Love, retired bookkeeper and farmwife, age 84, of Clearwater, passed away Thursday, Aug. 31, 2023. Visitation will be noon-5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept 5, at Webb-Shinkle Mortuary. Service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, at First Christian Church, Clearwater.

Body Victoria Ann Grow, 70, formerly of Conway Springs, passed away peacefully surrounded by her husband and family on Friday, Aug. 25, 2023.

Body Jeffrey Scot Beauchamp, 62, passed away on Aug. 14, 2023. He was born to Billy Ray and Don Beauchamp on April 28, 1961, in Wichita. Jeff graduated from Cheney High School in 1979. He joined the U.S. Army in 1984 and served in the 82nd Airborne Division out of Fort Bragg, N.C.

Body Jan Drouhard was born in Wichita on Sept. 21, 1949. She was raised by her mother and stepfather, Helen and Gene Weaver, in Wichita where she attended school, graduating from North High School with the class 1967.

Body Celeste G. Stuhlsatz, 94, formerly of Conway Springs, died Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at Presbyterian Manor, Wichita. Celeste was born April 6, 1929 at Clonmel to John Baptiste May and Elizabeth (Nett) May.

Body Kenneth Howard Shipley, 83, passed away on July 23, 2023 at the Cheney Golden Age Home. The only child of Howard and Ruth Shipley, he lived on a farm near Garden Plain until age 15, when the family moved to Cheney, Kansas.
